Second Place Fleece – Alpacafest West (Jude Anderson – Judge)
Judges Choice Best Crimp – Alpacafest West (Jude Anderson – Judge)

We consider ourselves to be very fortunate to have the opportunity to add SRRA P. Glacier to our group of active herdsires. He offers a genetic package that includes multiple award winners Snowbelt Hot Scot, Mister Antonio, Peruvian Hemingway AND Peruvian Bueno. We believe that there is a better than even chance that Glacier will throw color even when bred to white. Glacier is large boned, yet has a very compact body. His fleece character demonstrates a tight, high frequency crimp with exceptional staple length and coverage. These are characteristics that we expect Glacier to pass on when breeding.

Steve Murray, an alpaca breeder and noted shearer in California has stated, “Glacier simply has the best fleece that I saw during the 2005 shearing season”. Steve knows his stuff and has his hands on hundreds of alpacas every year. A rare compliment indeed.

Glacier first thirteen cria hit the ground in the fall of 2006 and as expected they are awesome.  Without exception these cria’s have been an improvement over the dams, adding Glacier’s wonderful fleece characteristics, coverage, staple length, crimp, uniformity and coverage.  You just have to see these cria to appreciate them.  To date, Glacier has thrown the color of the dam in every cria. We closed out the 2006 breeding year with twenty-five more females bred to Glacier.  As we move into 2007, Glacier’s breeding schedule is already getting busy.

The first cria sired by Franco arrived in late 2005. Franco’s best traits and his solid Hemingway genetics seem to have come through with flying colors with this little guy. He has crimpy coverage from head to toe and has the most luscious colored dark brown fleece you could ever hope for.

Franco’s second cria arrived in late June. A picture perfect dark fawn female with her sires crimp and coverage. Little Donatella is sure to do well in the show ring. Another classic example of improvement through utilization of superior genetics.

Franco is currently bred to our bay black maiden female CGA St. Helen’s for a late spring 2007 cria.

This proven herdsire's breeding fee is still a bargain at just $750. Contact us for more information or to schedule your breeding.

BF Garibaldi offers Full Peruvian, Half Accoyo genetics that are passed on by his sire the well-regarded PPPeruvian Accoyo Cahuide.  Garibaldi represents to strength and depth of our breeding program and provides our clients with exciting breeding options to use on both paid outside breedings as well as breedback’s included with the purchase of our females.

Garibaldi’s first cria, OVA Peruvian Alanna has proven to be everything thing we had expected.  Alanna (see picture, bottom left) seems to possess the best of what both her dam (BF Nicoletta) and Garibaldi have to offer. We knew Alanna was something special, but she has won two blue ribbons and two Reserve Color Championships in her first two shows.  Frankly, we are so excited about Alanna that we are planning several more breeding of Garibaldi to our girls.  We already have Garibaldi bred to our Derwydd Peruvian Casilla for a March 2007 cria and our BF Dolce for an October 2007 cria.  Both cria will be full Peruvian and should be sensational.

We are offering his services for $1000. Contact us for more details.
